GETTING THERE
Nearest Airports
Approximate planning ranges; allow extra time for traffic and winter conditions.
Queenstown Airport is the nearby gateway. Compare a rental car with town and mountain transfers, choosing accommodation around the pickup you will use. Christchurch is a longer South Island road-trip option; leave ample time for the onward journey and winter conditions.
Coronet Peak’s Ski Bus needs a booked departure, pickup location and mountain. If you drive, carry snow chains in winter, know how to fit them and check the road report before leaving. Rental-vehicle terms may limit alpine-road or chain use. Allow time to park, catch a carpark shuttle and collect equipment before a lesson.
A flexible stay lets you compare conditions at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Night skiing has separate transport and ticket arrangements; plan the return journey as well as the evening on snow.
