For 2026β27, Ikon lists 80 destinations across five continents. A road trip is one way to experience multiple resorts and get more value from your pass.
Maximum Value
Hit 4-6 resorts in one trip instead of flying to one destination
Variety
Experience different terrain, vibes, and snow conditions
Flexibility
Chase snow, skip crowds, and adjust plans on the fly
The best part? Driving lets you bring all your gear without baggage fees, stop at roadside spots, and create the kind of adventure stories that last a lifetime.

A successful ski road trip requires balancing driving time with ski time. Here's how to plan effectively.
The 3-Hour Rule
Keep drives between resorts under 3 hours when possible. Longer drives mean lost ski time and fatigue. If a drive is longer, plan an overnight stop or activity break.
Day Allocation
Plan 2-3 days at larger resorts (Jackson Hole, Big Sky) and 1-2 days at smaller ones. This ensures you experience each mountain without feeling rushed.
Weather Windows
Watch forecasts a week out. If a storm is hitting one resort mid-trip, rearrange your schedule to arrive on powder day. Flexibility is your superpower.
Check Your Pass Days
If you have Base, verify you have enough limited days for each resort on your route. Use unlimited-access resorts for longer stays.
