THE VIBE

Kaprun offers two mountain settings on one outing. Maiskogel is the family ski area above town. When the connecting gondolas are operating, the K-ONNECTION takes you from there to Langwied for the high glacier terrain. Check open pistes separately from sightseeing access to TOP OF SALZBURG.

Best For

  • ✓Early/late season skiers wanting guaranteed glacier snow
  • ✓Families using the Maiskogel as a gentle entry point
  • ✓Pass holders combining Kitzsteinhorn with Saalbach and Zell am See

Skip If

  • ✗You want extensive expert terrain -- the glacier is mostly gentle and intermediate
  • ✗You prefer tree skiing -- glacier terrain is entirely above treeline
