Lech has a discreet elegance — luxurious but never ostentatious. The village maintains strict architectural guidelines preserving its traditional Walser character. The vibrant art and culture scene includes Gallery Rondula and regular classical music events. Princess Diana was a regular visitor, and the Dutch royal family has long been associated with Lech.

Compare train connections to Langen am Arlberg and St. Anton am Arlberg, then arrange the onward bus or taxi to Lech. By road, the winter approach uses the Flexenpass via Zürs. For an Oberlech stay, ask the hotel where to leave the car, hand over luggage and collect it at the other end.

Choose dates from the ski-area calendar and check the White Ring connections if that circuit is central to the trip. Look up the race’s own dates before booking to watch it or planning to ski through its course.

Hotel Aurelio sits on the Schlegelkopfpiste, with ski-in/ski-out access, ski passes available at reception and a shuttle within Lech and Zürs. Warth-Schröcken and the Klostertal are other bases to compare.

Stuben and Zug are other village bases to compare. Check the particular property’s location and winter connection to the lifts you plan to use; do not assume the same access or price across the Arlberg.

Rud-Alpe is a mountain lunch stop on the Schlegelkopf run, with a footpath from Lech for people meeting skiers. In the village, Hûs Nr. 8 serves traditional cooking and fondue in a Walser-style inn.

For drinks overlooking the piste in Lech village, head to the Tannbergerhof Eis Bar. Skiers finishing in Oberlech have a separate slopeside option at the BURG Hotel Eisbar.
