GETTING THERE

Nearest Airports

✈️
HND
Tokyo Haneda International
About 2.5–3.5 hours
drive time

Approximate planning ranges; allow extra time for traffic and winter conditions.

From Tokyo, take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Jomo-Kogen Station, then continue by bus, taxi, or rental car; the resort describes the trip as roughly two hours at its fastest, and Ikon lists Jomo-Kogen at about 30 minutes by car. JR Doai Station is about a 20-minute walk, but the resort warns that the sidewalk is narrow. Haneda Airport is about 100 miles away and is listed as roughly three hours by road.

OVERNIGHT STAYS & CAMPERVANS

For Mt. T (Tanigawadake), compare a booked room or rental around Minakami with a designated campsite that accepts your vehicle and winter dates. Choose your base around the daily mountain journey and the power, water and indoor facilities you need.

Book a designated overnight place for your vehicle and dates. Day parking does not provide permission to camp.

🐕 PET POLICY

Historical pet-policy guidance.

The operator allows pets in a cage or carry bag on the ropeway and permits lift-compatible pets at Tenjin Cafe, but not inside View Terrace Tenjin. Published winter lift access for pets is limited to March 10–April 4, 2027; this does not authorize dogs on ski terrain.

Confirm rooms, fees and access rules with the property or resort before you travel. A pet-friendly area does not mean pets can use ski slopes or lifts.
