THE REGION
Kimberley Alpine Resort is a family-friendly mountain located in the sunny East Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. With over 1,800 hours of sunshine annually, Kimberley claims to be the sunniest ski resort in BC. The resort features 1,800 acres of skiable terrain with a 751-meter (2,465-foot) vertical drop.
The town of Kimberley has transformed from its origins as a lead-zinc mining town into a Bavarian-themed village complete with a pedestrian plaza called the Platzl, featuring a cuckoo clock and Alpine architecture. The resort's predominantly north-facing slopes help preserve snow quality despite the abundant sunshine.
