Nakiska Ski & Snowboard School

Nakiska Ski Area, 2 Mt Allan Drive

Ski LessonsSnowboard LessonsPrivate LessonsKids Programs

Nakiska Winter Sports School offers ski and snowboard instruction for adults and children. Children’s choices include groups, private lessons and multiweek programs, with ability levels running from first attempts through linked turns on chairlift-served runs.

Why we like it

Choose the ability level from what your child can do independently, especially stopping and turning. A private lesson can focus on one sticking point; multiweek groups suit families returning regularly.

Nakiska Rental Centre

RentalsTuning

Nakiska’s rental shop is beside the learning area, with ski, snowboard and snowshoe equipment. The Performance Tuning Centre is inside the shop, and rental equipment can be exchanged if fit or conditions change.

Why we like it

The location is especially convenient for a first lesson: fitting and beginner terrain are close together. Families returning throughout winter can compare the WINGS gear lease, which allows size exchanges as children grow.
