Spokane International is the usual air gateway. From the Spokane area, use I-90 toward Coeur d’Alene, then US-95 north toward Sandpoint and Schweitzer Mountain Road for the final climb. Leave time for the switchbacks and winter conditions.
Sandpoint also has an Amtrak stop. Arrange transport from your arrival point to a mountain transfer or your lodging. The winter shuttle runs between the Red Barn park-and-ride at North Boyer and Schweitzer Mountain Road and the resort village. Check service for your arrival and return dates.
