CMH Powder Intro Program

CMH Powder Intro destinations in British Columbia

GuidingHeli Skiing

CMH Powder Intro is a heli-skiing introduction for strong-intermediate to advanced resort skiers and snowboarders moving into backcountry powder. Groups have up to ten guests and two guides, with a relaxed-to-moderate pace and some powder instruction rather than a conventional ski-school curriculum.

Why we like it

Bring your own boots and reserve a snowboard ahead if needed. The program is for ages 14+ with a parent or guardian accompanying minors; choose the destination and trip length to suit the group’s fitness and pace.

Best for:

CMH Heli-Skiing Trips

CMH destinations in British Columbia

GuidingHeli Skiing

CMH offers Signature, Small Group and Private heli-skiing trips alongside day trips and skills-focused programs. Signature trips run four to seven days with up to eleven guests per group; Small Group trips use groups of four or five, depending on the program.

Why we like it

Start with the trip’s pace and group size, then choose the destination. The booking team and trip-finder quiz can help distinguish a relaxed powder introduction from a more demanding freeride experience.

Best for:

Pro Tip: Book Early

Lessons and rentals at popular resorts often book up quickly, especially during peak season and holidays. We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred times.

A single base, summit, and vertical do not apply across CMH's multi-lodge heli-ski terrain.

CMH’s lodge meal program starts with freshly made breakfast and pocket snacks for the heli-pad. Lunch is flown out to the ski group in the mountains, and tea-goodie service welcomes guests back before a multi-course dinner. The menu reflects each chef’s choices. Discuss dietary needs when booking so the team can plan alternatives; an allergen-free setting is not guaranteed. Arrangements vary by destination. CMH Revelstoke stays at the downtown Regent Hotel, where CMH meals are served in the 112 Restaurant and Lounge. Evening mealtimes are flexible, with group meals on arrival and departure days. Use the itinerary for your chosen trip when making separate dining plans.

Evenings depend on your CMH destination. At a backcountry lodge, plan around the lodge meal service and the facilities listed for that location. CMH Revelstoke has a different rhythm: its Regent Hotel base is in the walkable historic downtown, with shopping and dining nearby. The hotel has a hot tub, massage, exercise equipment and guest laundry. CMH meals use the 112 Restaurant and Lounge, with flexible evening mealtimes. Check the selected trip’s inclusions before arranging separate dining or activities.
