The Griz Bar for legendary après beers and pub fare in the base lodge

THE FOOD SCENE

Downtown Fernie punches above its weight for dining. The Loaf serves artisan bread and hearty breakfast, while Yamagoya offers surprisingly excellent Japanese cuisine. The Curry Bowl is a local favorite for affordable, warming meals. For upscale dining, try Nevados for Mediterranean-influenced mountain cuisine.

Après-ski dining at the resort base includes the Griz Bar, a Fernie institution known for its burgers and lively atmosphere.

APRÈS-SKI & NIGHTLIFE

The Griz Bar at the resort base is the go-to après spot, with live music on weekends and a legendary atmosphere. In town, Fernie Brewing Company and The Northern Bar & Stage offer craft drinks and live entertainment. The Coal Dust Salon provides a more laid-back vibe for winding down after a day on the slopes.
